The Brass Blast
We had such great feedback from the 2012 Brass Blast that we are doing it again! Join us on April 27, 2013 at Southington (CT) High School.

The Southington Brass Blast is a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest trumpet ensemble and a benefit for organizations that support students and musicians. At least 1,167 trumpeters are needed to break the record. For more info or to register go to: http://www.southingtonbrass.com/brassblast.html

This is a reminder of Brass Blast coming up this Saturday. Brass Blast is a SHS Bandbacker fundraiser. An attempt to break the record for the most trumpets in a single ensemble will be taking place. Volunteers are requested to park in the main lot or up by the greenhouse. Band backers who volunteer will have an opportunity to see the concerts/clinics after the World Record attempt. Band Backer Meeting:  Band Backers Meeting: The next general meeting of the Southington Band Backers will be Wednesday May 1 at 7:30pm in room 201. This is an important meeting as we will vote for new E-Board members.. In addition to these votes we will also discuss upcoming events. Events will include, the Memorial Day Parade, preparation for mini band camp on June 1, volunteer positions which need to be filled for the upcoming band season and seasons going forward, and other important matters related to the band.
